Ace music composer AR Rahman’s mother Kareema Begum passed away in Chennai. According to the reports the family informed the media about the demise.
The Oscar-winning music maestro took to his social media and shared a photograph of his mother on his Twitter profile without a caption.
As soon as he posted, his friends and colleagues from the industry offered their condolences to the singer.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami and DMK President M K Stalin also paid tributes. Director Mohan Raja, producer Dr Dhananjayan, filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, music composers Shreya Ghoshal, Thaman, singer Harshdeep Kaur and many others expressed grief on social media.
