Actor & screenwriter Shiv Subramanian passed away last night

Shiv Subramaniam, an actor and screenwriter who created the screenplays for films like as Parinda and Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and was most recently seen in Meenakshi Sundareshwar, died on Sunday night. His death has yet to be determined. His 16-year-old son died of a brain tumour two months ago, so this news comes as a shock. He is survived by his actress wife Divya Jagdale, with whom he co-starred in Amol Gupte’s Stanley Ka Dabba. On Monday morning, the funeral will be held.

The screenplay for Parinda, 1942 A Love Story, Is Raat Ki Subah Nahi, Chameli & Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi was written by Shiv Subramaniam. For Parinda, the actor-screenwriter received the Filmfare Award for Best Screenplay, and for Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, he won the Filmfare Award for Best Story. Prahaar, DrohKaal, Kaminey, 2 States, Hichki, Tu Hai Mera Sunday, Bombay Boys, Snip, Teen Patti, Stanley Ka Dabba, Happy Journey, and Nail Polish were among his many films. He also appeared on television shows such as Mukti Bandhan, 24 and Laakhon Mein Ek.

Shiv Subramaniam was last seen as Sanya Malhotra’s father in Meenakshi Sundareshwar.
