Red Chillies VFX, the visual effects branch of Shah Rukh Khan’s production house, Red Chillies, celebrated its 17th anniversary by releasing a show-reel featuring some of their best work. The video, which is over six minutes long, showcases shots from a variety of films, including Bulbbul, Phillauri, Zero, Ittefaq, Shershaah, Laal Singh Chaddha, Fan, and many others.
Founded by Shah Rukh Khan, Keitan Yadav, and Haresh Hingorani, Red Chillies VFX has provided visual effects for some of Bollywood’s biggest entertainers, including RaOne and Krrish 3. In Happy New Year, Red Chillies VFX created Dubai’s famous Palm Jumeriah using VFX, as well as the snow-covered mountains in Dilwale’s song Gerua.
The show-reel also includes some interesting snippets, such as Aamir Khan’s physical appearance being altered for certain shots in Laal Singh Chadha, and Shah Rukh Khan’s face being altered in the 2016 film Fan. The transformation of Tabu’s character Manjulika in the blockbuster film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is also featured in the video.
Red Chillies VFX has been a crucial component in creating some of the most visually stunning moments in Bollywood films over the years. With this show-reel, the company celebrates its accomplishments and showcases its continued dedication to excellence in visual effects.
Many fans remarked on the video, applauding Red Chillies’ work. One fan said, “Thankyou so much SRK for giving this revolutionary gift to indian cinema”. While another one mentioned, “Ra- One was one of the best vfx movie….. World was not ready for that masterpiece.” Other comments included “Aadipurush ko bacha lete ye (They could have saved Adipurush).” “Adipurush ka vfx vi sabal lete toh aacha hota (It would have been nice had they handled the VFX of Adipurush).”
The upcoming for Red Chillies VFX is going to be Shah Rukh’s Jawan. The film is helmed by Tamil director Atlee and also stars Nayanthara in the lead role. The film is slated to hit theatres in June this year.
