A year back, Murad Khetani announced his upcoming project Thadam Remake with Sidharth Malhotra and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles. Although the film went on floors in November with major changes. Sidharth then walked out of the film. Later, Aditya Roy Kapur stepped up as Malhotra’s replacement.
Now the latest update is that the film goes on floors today. Based on true events, this thriller film will see Aditya Roy Kapur in a double role for the very first time in two completely different avatars along with Mrunal Thakur as a Cop. The actress will be seen doing a face-off with Aditya Roy Kapur.

Helmed by debutant director Vardhan Ketkar the film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios.
Magizh Thirumeni wrote and directed the original film, Thadam, a 2019 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film. Arun Vijay, Tanya Hope, Smruthi Venkat, and Vidya Pradeep starred in the film, which was produced by Inder Kumar.
