Aditya Roy Kapur’s Rakt Bramhand Shoot Pushed To April Due To THIS Reason; Release Now Set For 2026!

Rakt Bramhand shoot is delayed as battle sequences are being reworked. This has reportedly pushed its release to 2026.

Netflix’s highly anticipated fantasy action series Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom has hit a roadblock. The ambitious project by Raj And DK and co-director Rahi Anil Barve was set to begin its second shooting schedule in February.

However, the team has now pushed the plan by two months to rework key battle sequences. With this delay, the series will no longer make its original 2025 release window and is now set for a 2026 premiere.

Rakt Bramhand Shoot Delayed As Battle Scenes Get Revamp

A source close to the production revealed that the war sequences are at the heart of the show’s narrative.

The source shared with mid-day, “Rakt Bramhand has been mounted as a big-budget fantasy series about warring empires. Naturally, the war sequences are crucial to the story. The team wasn’t fully satisfied with how they were shaping up on paper and is revisiting the portions.”

Rakt Bramhand is one of Netflix India’s most ambitious projects to date with grand scale and visuals. However, the delay in filming has impacted its release timeline.

Another source shared, “It is being designed as a spectacle, and that takes time. With the latest leg starting in April, followed by extensive VFX work in post-production, the series will release only in 2026.”

Aditya Roy Kapur’s Intense Training For The Role

While the shoot has faced delays, Aditya Roy Kapur has been fully committed to his role. The actor had earlier confirmed his involvement in the action-fantasy series, revealing that he underwent three months of rigorous training.

From sword fighting and weaponry to horse riding and archery, Kapur has been preparing extensively to bring his character to life.

Speaking about the preparation process, he said, “The prep has been intense, but one of the most enjoyable perks of being an actor is to be able to pick up new skills. This show has me doing that in spades, with everything from sword fighting to archery and horse riding. But possibly even more important than the physical work, there is a huge amount of mental preparation which I’ve been relishing.”

The makers had already wrapped the first shooting schedule in Mumbai and were gearing up for the second leg before the delay. Back in July, Netflix officially announced the series with a striking poster featuring a blood-drenched crown.

The series stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Ali Fazal, and Wamiqa Gabbi in key roles.
