Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is making its debut in Punjabi cinema with Akaal, a historic epic starring Gippy Grewal. It marks a major milestone as the film will be released in both Punjabi and Hindi. It is also the first Punjabi film to get a nationwide Hindi release, expanding its reach beyond regional audiences.
Dharma has previously backed South Indian films like Baahubali and Devara. Now, the production house is stepping into Punjabi storytelling to further establish itself as a pan-India force. Akaal aims to bring the rich history of Sikh warriors to a wider audience.
Now the advance booking for the film has started today. Dharma Productions and makers have shared the same on social media handles. Film is slated to release worldwide in Hindi and Punjabi on 10th April.
