Helmed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 2 stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Rajat Kapoor. It is said to be a remake of the 2021 Malayalam film of the same name and sequel to Drishyam. The mystery film is slated to release on November 18, 2022.
Drishyam was directed by Nishikant Kamat in 2015, but after his death in August 2020, Pathak took it for its sequel. Its shooting wrapped on June 21, 2022, in Hyderabad. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar, the film will be distributed by Panorama studios.
It is set to open 2000 plus screens and it will open close to double digit, selling 23000 tickets for opening day in national chains and 77,000 tickets sold for the opening weekend which is quite better than Ajay Devgn’s recent Diwali release ‘Thank God’.

However, Ajay’s Runway and Thank God were declared flop at the Box-office. Drishyam 2 could surpass Jug Jugg Jeeyo (57,000), Gangubai (56,000), Laal Singh Chaddha (63,000), and Vikram Vedha (59,000). Anything more than 75,000 will put the film in a great place prior to its release.
