After Akshay Kumar makes an ‘uninformed’ statement about Samrat Prithviraj in an interview, netizens trend NCERT questioning superstar’s level of knowledge

Akshay has sparked a new debate by questioning Indian history textbooks in an interview.

Akshay Kumar is now preparing for the release of his upcoming film, “Samrat Prithviraj.” Akshay was severely trolled after the film’s trailer was released, with many criticising his casting as the warrior king.

He was labelled a miscast in the starring part by a number of social media users. Now, just days before the film’s premiere, Akshay has sparked a new debate by questioning Indian history textbooks in an interview with ANI.

Soon after the video was shared on Twitter, several people slammed Akshay Kumar, calling his comments false and even bringing up his lack of educational qualifications.

One user wrote, “This is the chap who failed a couple of times before he reached 10th standard who is now telling us how textbooks should be written. Amazing!”

Another tweeted, “When you read the history on WhatsApp university & some bakwas movies and not in Schools! Read NCERT”.

One comment read, “lagta hai issne ne Canada ki history book padd li hain” in context to the fact that Akshay hold Canadian citizenship and not Indian.
