Troubles Mount: After Bad VFX, Prabhas, Kriti Sanon Starrer ‘Adipurush’  Is Accused Of Plagiarism By Vivek Ram; BJP Slams It For ‘Misrepresentation’. Details Inside

It will be shown in IMAX and 3D on January 12, 2023 and will be available in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.

Malavika Avinash, an actress and spokesman for the BJP, has criticised director Om Raut for “misrepresenting” Ramayan’s “objectionable” portrayal of Ravana in the teaser for the upcoming movie “Adipurush.” With the intention of telling the Ramayana story on the big screen in a fresh way, Raut set out to make this movie. However, after the first teaser for Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon’s movie “Adipurush” was released on Sunday. People from all walks of life began to react negatively. The success of the movie is uncertain given the negative reviews that have surfaced.

Many have been extremely upset with the film’s shoddy VFX and the ridiculous appearances and outfits of various characters, particularly Saif’s Raavan. Some online users have linked Saif’s appearance in the movie to Alauddin Khilji rather than Raavan because of the actor’s short, spiked hair, long beard, and Kajal’s eyes.

A LinkedIn user named Vivek Ram stated that makers have used his old artwork of “the legend of Ram”. He said, “My artwork had become popular and many have ripped it off in the past. Something I have gotten used to. But to see it done on such a large scale was disheartening.” He called it “shameful” and a dialogue is needed for resolution.

Malavika, a BJP spokesperson, voiced her sadness about the director’s lack of consideration for the Ramayana stories as told by Valmiki, Kamban, or Tulsidas in Ramcharit Manas, as well as her discomfort with the way Ravana was portrayed.

An earlier tweet from BJP spokeswoman Malvika stated, “Ravana, Lankapati, was a Shiva devotee who had learned 64 skills! It might be the Turkish tyrant, but Ravana is not it. Bollywood needs to quit distorting our history and the Ramayana! Have you ever heard of NT Rama Rao, a famous actor?

It will be shown in IMAX and 3D on January 12, 2023 and will be available in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. The movie is estimated to have a 500 crore budget. The trailer and poster for this expensive movie didn’t garner very positive reviews.
