After the massive explosions happened in Beirut that killed over 78 and left thousands injured. Bollywood celebrities took to their Twitter and expressed their grief and prayers for the Lebanese people.
“This is awful. Absolutely devastating. Sending all my love and prayers to everyone affected by this tragedy. #Beirut,” wrote Priyanka Chopra in a tweet.
Farhan Akhtar wrote, “When your mind does not want to believe what your eyes have just seen. #Beirut and it’s people in my thoughts.”
“Unreal news and footage coming in from Beirut. Prayers and deepest condolences for all those affected by the #BeirutExplosion,” wrote Nimrat Kaur.
Swara Bhasker says, “Horrifying and heart-wrenching! Cannot imagine what devastation and pain there must be on the streets of #Beirut Ravaged one too many times!”
According to the reports the blast happened at the port warehouses storing highly explosive material. It is yet not cleared what caused the blaze.
However as per a security source and local it was started by welding work being carried out on a hole in the warehouse.
