Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan is wrapping up the shooting for his upcoming film Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand today at YRF studio in Mumbai. The film, which also stars Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, is being billed as India’s first aerial action film.
Fighter is one of the most anticipated films of 2024 and fans are eagerly waiting to watch Hrithik and Deepika’s fresh pairing on screen. The film promises to be an action-packed journey that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
Hrithik Roshan to finish shooting for Fighter on 87th day today
A source close to the development informed Pinkvilla that Hrithik will be shooting for the last leg of Fighter’s shoot today at YRF in Mumbai. “Today is the 87th Day of Fighter shoot and through the journey, the team has shot at several real locations and studio setups.”.
While Deepika and Anil have already wrapped up their portions on Fighter, it’s the last day of the shoot for Hrithik on October 30. “Siddharth Anand will call it a film wrap on November 1 and get it ready to explode on the big screen on January 26,” the source added. From the day first day of the shoot till the end, it has been 88 days of shooting journey.
The film began in November last year with a 10-day schedule at the Tezpur Air Force Station in Assam. As a part of prep, Hrithik even spent time with the real-life Air Force Officers. A year later, it was a patchwork shoot at YRF studios in Mumbai.
Fighter is the third collaboration between Hrithik and Siddharth, after Bang Bang! (2014) and War (2019). The film is also the first production of Siddharth and Mamta Anand under their banner Marflix, with Viacom 18 as the studio partner.
Fighter promises a one-of-its-kind cinematic experience
“Being an aerial action thriller, a lot has gone behind the scenes to create a one-of-its-kind cinematic experience. The shoot was tactfully planned in a way that the high-on VFX shots were canned in the early days of the schedule so that proper time can be given to amp up their impact on the cinema screen,” the source informed.

According to sources, Fighter is a one-of-its-kind cinematic experience, with high-on VFX shots and stunning aerial action sequences. The VFX for Fighter is done by Oscar-winning company DNEG, whereas the film is written by Ramon Chibb, who has closely worked with the Indian Air Force and the Indian Army.
The music by Vishal Shekhar is also one of the major highlights of Fighter and will have a mix of dance numbers, soulful melodies and emotional tracks. “The music of Fighter has ample of flavor – right from dance numbers to soulful melodies and emotional track – it has it all,” the source concluded.
In Fighter, Hrithik plays the role of an Air Force pilot. He will be seen in a state-of-the-art Sukhoi 30 fighter jet in the film. Deepika plays his love interest, while Anil Kapoor plays his mentor.
Fighter is slated to release on January 25, 2024, on the occasion of India’s 75th Republic Day weekend. The film will pay a tribute to India’s armed forces and their bravery.
