Ayushmann Khurrana and director Raaj Shaandilyaa are gearing up to collaborate once again. The duo, who previously delivered hits like Dream Girl and Dream Girl 2, are reportedly in talks for another comedic venture.
According to reports, negotiations are underway, and if all goes smoothly, filming might commence soon. However, no official announcement has been made yet.
Ayushmann Khurrana In Raaj Shaandilyaa’s Next Comedy Entertainer?
A source close to the project revealed to Pinkvilla that Raaj has penned a humorous family comedy that has caught Ayushmann’s interest.
“The film is a standalone comedy and not Dream Girl 3. Raaj is writing a hatke comic entertainer, and Ayushmann is impressed with the basic idea of the film. The writing will be finished in another month, followed by a narration,” said the source.
Ayushmann’s First With Dharma Productions
Another untitled film marks Ayushmann’s first collaboration with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Directed by Aakash Kaushik, the movie is described as a unique espionage comedy.
Sources close to the production told Pinkvilla, “Karan and Guneet are very excited about this subject. The script has shaped up well, blending espionage elements with comedy. The script ticks all the boxes of a commercial film, offering scale, thrill, action, and a lot of comedy. The trio of Karan, Guneet, and Aakash feel that Ayushmann fits the character perfectly.”
This film has the potential to redefine the espionage genre in Hindi cinema and is anticipated to be a quintessential Ayushmann Khurrana film. The source added, “The film goes on floors in a couple of months, and the official announcement with the title is around the corner. The makers are in advanced stages of discussion with Sara Ali Khan to play the female lead.”
Ayushmann Khurrana & Raaj Shandilyaa’s Work Front
Ayushmann Khurrana was last seen in Dream Girl 2, which hit theatres on August 25, 2023. The film starred Ananya Panday as the female lead, alongside Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Manjot Singh, and Rajpal Yadav. Produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the Balaji Motion Pictures banner, Dream Girl 2 continued the success of its predecessor
Currently, Raaj is working on Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, while Ayushmann is busy with an untitled comedy film produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga. Following this project, Ayushmann will be seen in Dinesh Vijan’s Vampires of Vijay Nagar, which was released in October.
