Shah Rukh Khan, the superstar of Bollywood, is all set to end the year 2023 with a bang. After delivering two blockbuster hits, Pathaan and Jawan, he is ready to wow the audience with his next film, Dunki. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film is said to be about illegal immigration and a soldier’s journey to keep a promise.

Dunki Drop 1 Garners 72+ Million Views In 24 Hours, Becomes Most-Watched Outright Bollywood Movie Teaser On YouTube
The teaser which was called ‘Drop 1’, was dropped amid much anticipation on King Khan’s birthday and it met with super positive reception from the fans and general audiences. The makers announced that the teaser aka Drop 1 scored 72 million views across social media platforms in the first 24 hours, making it one of the most-watched Indian movie teasers of all time.
On YouTube, the teaser scored approximately 36.80 million views in the first 24 hours. Currently, it has over 42+ million views. It is the most-watched outright Bollywood movie teaser in the first 24 hours on YouTube. Overall, it is the 5th most-watched teaser in India on YT during the same period.
Dunki Gets 6 Teasers Certified By CBFC
Now, it has been revealed that the makers of Dunki have planned a unique promotional strategy for the film, with six teasers of different durations. These teasers will be called drops.
According to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) website, the six teasers have been certified and vary from 58 seconds to 1 minute and 51 seconds. The teasers vary in duration, with the first teaser lasting 58 seconds, the second at 1 minute and 47 seconds, the third and fourth teasers at 58 seconds and 1 minute 49 seconds respectively. The final two teasers, Teaser 5 and 6, have durations of 1 minute 50 seconds and 1 minute 51 seconds, contributing to a comprehensive and intriguing preview of the film. The teasers are expected to give more glimpses of the film and its storyline, and create more buzz among the fans.
When Shah Rukh Khan revealed about upcoming Dunki drops
Shah Rukh spoke about Dunki at his fan birthday event and said that the upcoming drops will say a lot more about the movie and the characters. “Raju sir clear the ke pehle hamari film ki duniya sabko dikhaai de. Main usmein kya kar raha hoon, ya Taapsee kya kar rahi hai, woh sab hum dheere dheere dikhaaye. Toh main ismein kya kar raha hoon woh baadmein pataa chalega magar kaafi accha kar raha hoon (Raju sir was very clear that in the first drop, our film’s world is shown to the people. What each character is doing, is something we want to show later to people. So, what Taapsee is doing or what I’m doing is something you will discover later, but I’m doing quite good in the movie).”
Shah Rukh Khan to deliver hat-trick with Dunki
Shah Rukh Khan has been enjoying a successful run at the box office this year, with his films Pathaan and Jawan breaking records and earning rave reviews. Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, featured Shah Rukh Khan as a spy, along with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Jawan, directed by Atlee, featured Shah Rukh Khan as a double role, along with Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra and Sunil Grover.
Dunki is Shah Rukh Khan’s third film of the year and first ever collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani.
