After an intense and successful 50-day schedule in Mumbai, the team, led by superstar Allu Arjun, has officially wrapped its first leg. Now, the action is set to shift gears and go international.
The next stop for the cast and crew is Abu Dhabi, where they are scheduled to begin filming the second schedule in October. This leg of the production is expected to be packed with high-octane action sequences, promising a visual spectacle for the audience.
Deepika Padukone To Join The Star-Studded Cast
After wrapping up first schedule of Shah Rukh Khan’s King, adding to the excitement, superstar Deepika Padukone is expected to join the team for the Abu Dhabi schedule. Her presence will complete the powerhouse trio of Atlee, Allu Arjun, and Deepika, making this one of the most anticipated collaborations in recent memory. The recently concluded Mumbai schedule was a marathon session that included the filming of crucial scenes and a massive dance sequence. With that under their belt, the team is now heading to the United Arab Emirates for a completely different environment. Reports suggest that the action scenes will be canned in the breathtaking red dunes of the Liwa Oasis, a location that is sure to add a grand scale to the film’s visuals.
This move from the bustling sets of Mumbai to the stark, beautiful deserts of Abu Dhabi highlights the massive canvas on which Atlee is mounting his film. The director is leaving no stone unturned, working with a team of 15 reputed writers from across India to ensure the storyboarding and creative vision are rock-solid.
A Global Vision And Hollywood Collaboration
The makers are aiming for nothing less than a global phenomenon. With a staggering budget of ₹600 crore, producers Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures are looking to partner with a top-tier US-based creative agency to devise a marketing strategy that targets international audiences. Discussions are reportedly underway with Connekkt MobScene, the Hollywood agency behind blockbusters like Avatar, Dune, Barbie, and Justice League.
This ambition is further reflected in the technical departments, with renowned firms being consulted for the VFX. Allu Arjun is also expected to travel to the US this month to oversee and complete portions of the VFX shoot, signaling a project that is truly blending Indian star power with world-class production standards.
