Ahaan Panday Opens Up On Working With Aryan Khan, Says Their Creative Sync Makes It An Easy Yes

Ahaan Panday has opened up about the one reason a future collaboration with Aryan Khan would matter to him more than the optics of a high-profile pairing. For the actor, the appeal lies in a bond forged long before either of them began shaping careers in the entertainment industry.

In a recent conversation, Ahaan spoke about the possibility of joining forces with Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s son, who entered the industry as a filmmaker with his Netflix series The Ba*ds of Bollywood. What gives Ahaan’s comment its edge is that he framed it not as a star-led move, but as a creative partnership built on years of knowing each other closely.

Why Ahaan Panday Wants To Work With Aryan Khan

Asked whether he and Aryan could make for an exciting director-actor duo, Ahaan said, “Yeah, in the future, why not? Not for anything superficial, not because of The Ba*ds of Bollywood or Saiyaara, but because of a real bond.”

He then explained that bond in personal terms. “When you grow up with someone, it’s different. There was a time when he’d land from Kent (Sevenoaks School) and before even meeting his parents, he’d come straight to my house. His parents would call me asking why he was like that. When you share that kind of history, there’s so much you understand about each other, so much to explore as performers. Working together wouldn’t feel like work. It’s something I’d genuinely look forward to.”

That clarity makes the prospect instantly more interesting. Aryan has already established his intent behind the camera as creator, writer, director, and showrunner of The Ba*ds of Bollywood. For Ahaan, who is now navigating the choices that follow a closely watched debut Saiyaara, the idea of collaborating with someone who already knows his instincts so well carries obvious creative value.

What Saiyaara Changed For Ahaan Panday

Ahaan’s acting breakthrough came with Saiyaara, the Mohit Suri-directed romantic musical backed by Yash Raj Films and co-starring Aneet Padda. The film put him firmly in the spotlight and turned industry attention toward what he does next, especially as conversations around his screen presence and future projects continue to grow.

He has started shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar’s action drama. Last week YRF confirmed that Ahaan Panday will be returning with Saiyaara team Mohit Suri and Aneet Padda for his third outing. That makes this stretch of his career particularly defining, because every next step will shape how he builds on the visibility of that first film rather than simply adding volume to his résumé.

Aryan’s trajectory adds another layer to that conversation. With The Ba*ds of Bollywood, he positioned himself as a filmmaker with a distinct creative role rather than a conventional star launch. That is what makes Ahaan’s comments stand out. The possibility of the two working together is compelling not because of legacy alone, but because one is building momentum as an actor while the other has already begun creating worlds behind the camera.
