After the intense emotional pitch of Saiyaara, the actor is moving into a glossier Hindi film zone with his next feature, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and backed by Yash Raj Films.
The pivot feels organic because Ahaan’s dancing had already found its fan base before his first film reached cinemas. Videos from sister Alanna Panday’s wedding, including his performance with Ananya Panday on Saat Samundar, made him a social media talking point. Saiyaara introduced him as a brooding romantic lead, but his next film is preparing to tap into a more playful, performance-driven side of his screen presence.

Ahaan is currently filming in the UK for the yet-untitled project, and the next major schedule highlight is a dance sequence planned in Manchester. The song is being designed as a key showcase moment for the actor, with rehearsals and performance prep already underway.
“Ahaan, [who is currently shooting in the UK], is going to can a dance number next month, prep for which is underway. A four-day shoot for the song is being planned in Manchester. The sequence will show Ahaan in his effortless best and that’s how Aditya Chopra and Ali want to present him onscreen,” a source close to the production said.
The makers are treating the number as a carefully built star moment, with choreography, screen movement and styling expected to play a crucial role. A top choreographer will be finalised shortly “because the visual and dance forms have to be unlike anything YRF has done before”.
“Apart from daily dance rehearsals, he has also been working on stamina, body conditioning, camera [placements], music beats, expressions, signature hooksteps, and building the effortless swagger needed for a big Bollywood hero song since the number is designed as a high-energy commercial track mounted on a large scale,” the source added.
