Despite the fact that Bollywood superstars Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt have just minor roles in S R Rajamouli’s RRR, they have been compensated fairly. “At least Alia Bhatt has been paid what she normally charges other producers in Mumbai. Although she has less than twenty minutes of playing-time she is the official leading lady of RRR and has been paid close to Rs. 9 crores for her brief role,” a source reveals to BH.
The existence of Devgn in RRR is a more complicated scenario. Despite the fact that he is only a guest star, he has a significant impact on the character’s development and impact. Devgn was paid a hefty Rs 35 crores for just seven days of work. A source close to the project explains, “Devgn and Alia are the audience-baiters in North India. Over there only Rajamouli sells as the director of Baahubali. But is that enough?”
RRR is directed by SS Rajamouli and written by K.V. Vijayendra Prasad. The film is a fictionalised account of India’s most famous liberation fighters, Alluri Sitaramaraju and Komaram Bheem, who are depicted by Ram Charan and Jr NTR, respectively. The music is being composed by MM Keeravani, a musical genius. DVV Danayya’s production company, DVV Entertainments, is bankrolling RRR.
