Shocking: Ajay Devgn’s Chauhaan Teaser Quietly Reworked As Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub’s Voiceover Is Replaced

Ajay Devgn’s Chauhaan has run into fresh scrutiny just days after its teaser launch, and this time, the change is visible and audible. The teaser currently streaming on YouTube is no longer the same cut that first premiered online. Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub’s opening voiceover has been removed, and another notable tweak has also surfaced in the revised version.

The quiet re-edit has drawn attention because it arrives in the middle of a growing controversy around the film’s Kashmir-set imagery and dialogue. Viewers who had watched the original teaser were quick to spot that Ayyub’s narration, which played in the opening moments, is now missing from the updated video.

Chauhaan Teaser Has Been Altered After Online Backlash

The teaser’s revision comes after criticism over how Chauhaan framed pellet guns and the depiction of unrest in Kashmir. The film’s early promo had triggered strong reactions online, especially over the line describing pellet guns as causing “limited damage” and offering “temporary solutions.” That phrase became central to the backlash, and the teaser’s changes have now intensified interest in how the makers are responding.

Along with dropping Ayyub’s voice from the opening monologue, the makers have also altered a military designation in the promo. In the updated version, “major” has been replaced with “colonel,” making it clear that the teaser was deliberately reworked rather than casually re-uploaded.

There has been no public statement from the film’s team on the changes so far. Still, the revised cut is now part of the story around Chauhaan, especially because the edits came just over a week after the teaser first went live.

What We Know About Chauhaan So Far

Chauhaan is backed by Jio Studios and Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions. Film listings on IMDb identify Neeraj Yadav as writer-director, with Varun Panwar also credited as a director on the title page. The film stars Ajay Devgn and is currently listed for a 2027 release.

The premise, as listed on IMDb, follows “a security officer who takes charge when peaceful methods fail to control a militant uprising in Pulwama, 2018, despite massive military resources deployed by the nation.” That setting explains why the teaser’s language and imagery have drawn particularly sharp reactions so early in the campaign.

Ajay Devgn’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Ajay Devgn has remained one of Hindi cinema’s busiest leading men across theatrical and franchise-driven releases. His recent confirmed releases include Shaitaan and Singham Again in 2024, followed by Raid 2, Son of Sardaar 2, and De De Pyaar De 2 in 2025, according to filmography listings on Wikipedia and IMDb. Before that, he also directed and starred in Bholaa in 2023.

Looking ahead, Devgn’s confirmed upcoming titles include Dhamaal 4 and Drishyam 3, both listed for 2026, while Chauhaan is currently dated for 2027. That gives the actor a packed slate, but Chauhaan has already carved out a different kind of attention, with its teaser edits becoming a talking point well before the film’s release.
