Helmed by Rohit Shetty, Singham stars Ajay Devgn, Prakash Raj, Kajal Aggarwal, Sonali Kulkarni and others. It released in 2011, followed by its sequel in 2014 as “Singham Returns” starring Kareena Kapoor alongside Ajay Devgn. Reliance Entertainment distributed the action-romance movie.
We earlier broke that Singham’s threequel will start from April, 2023, while the pre-production from December. The latest is that Singham Again will release on August 15, 2024. A few months ago Rohit Shetty confirmed Deepika Padukone as leading lady who will play the cop character in the film opposite Ajay Devgn, who returns as Bajirao Singham.
Moreover, Akshay Kumar is all set to reprise his role as the fearless cop, ‘Sooryavanshi’, in ‘Singham Again’. This action-packed blockbuster will see the dream team of Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar together on the silver screen for the first time.
Singham was made with a budget of Rs 41 crore with the Box-office collections worth Rs 157 crore, whereas Singham Returns’s budget stood at Rs 219 crore and received Rs 70 crore at the Box-office. Rohit is quite popular for the cop universe films, which now includes Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar and Deepika.
