Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4 Goes The Dhurandhar Way, Tuesday Ticket Sales Rise Without Discounts

Dhamaal 4 is showing the kind of box office confidence producers rarely fake. After a robust opening weekend and a steady hold on Monday, the Ajay Devgn-led comedy has now skipped the customary Tuesday discount offer, a move that instantly puts its weekday performance under sharper trade focus.

The decision places Dhamaal 4 in the same lane as Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar The Revenge, two titles often cited for holding firm without leaning on discounted Tuesday ticketing. For a franchise comedy, that is a notable statement this early in the run.

Tuesday Sales Jump Even Without Discount Support

The film opened at Rs. 13.72 crores, then surged to Rs. 22.48 crores on Saturday and Rs. 28.15 crores on Sunday. On Monday, it collected Rs. 8.18 crores, showing that the weekend rush was sustained by solid audience pull rather than front-loaded curiosity.

Explaining the thinking behind such a strategy, a trade source said, “Usually, when films are doing exceptionally well, it is an indication that there’s a tremendous urgency to watch it. In such cases, producers and distributors avoid selling tickets for discounted rates on Tuesdays.”

The day’s strongest indicator came from advance bookings. As of 11:30 am on Monday, Dhamaal 4 had sold 34,888 tickets. At the same time on Tuesday, ticket sales had already climbed to 38,307, a clear gain even without the support of a lower-price offer.

The same source noted, “In the past, the Aamir Khan-starrer Sitaare Zameen Par (2025) and Raid 2 (2025), starring Ajay Devgn, also didn’t offer discounted ticket prices on Tuesday during their first week.”

What This Means For Ajay Devgn In 2026

The Dhurandhar comparison matters because it puts Dhamaal 4 in a conversation about theatrical confidence rather than just comedy mileage. For Ajay Devgn, that is a valuable position to occupy in 2026. With Raid 2 already cited among films that held back from Tuesday discounting, Dhamaal 4 now strengthens the perception that his star vehicles are continuing to command regular-price footfalls deep into the first week.

That is an especially useful marker for a mass-appeal franchise title. Instead of being viewed only as a nostalgia-driven ensemble comedy, Dhamaal 4 is beginning to shape up as a stronger commercial play, one that is sustaining audience interest after the opening burst and giving Devgn another firm theatrical talking point this year.

Indra Kumar’S Franchise Returns With A Familiar Crowd-Pleasing Ensemble

Directed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 brings together Ajay Devgn with Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Jaaved Jaaferi, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Esha Gupta, Sanjeeda Shaikh and Anjali Anand. Backed by T-Series Films, Panorama Studios, Devgn Films, Maruti International and Anand Pandit Motion Pictures, the film arrived in cinemas on July 10, 2026.

The film continues the franchise’s signature brand of high-energy confusion, ensemble banter and escalating comic chaos, a formula that has long given the Dhamaal series its mass-market appeal. This time, the early box office trend suggests that familiarity is working as a strength, not a limitation.
