Poster Contains a Punjabi Punchline
Ajay Devgn has officially revealed the colourful first-look poster for Son of Sardaar 2, teasing the return of Jaswinder “Jassi” Singh Randhawa for more swagger, more dhol, and bigger comedy! The poster has Devgn perched atop tanks, turban perfectly paired with that trademark curled moustache, and a mischievous grin that says, “This time, he’s not just bringing the storm… he is the thunder.⚡
#SonOfSardaar2 in cinemas this 25th of July!” as revealed on the Instagram post.
Sequel Gets a Full July Window
This much-anticipated follow-up is scheduled to release on July 25, 2025 (the clean release box-office period gives Jassi the crowd-free and safe window). Its great strategic timing, to not coincide with any significant Bollywood releases, means that when Son of Sardaar 2 releases, it will be positioned as a summer blockbuster.
Reunion of Stars and Laughter
Under the directorial talents of Vijay Kumar Arora, Son of Sardaar 2 sees the return of the friendship-rivalry combination of Jassi and Billu (portrayed by Sanjay Dutt), along with the new cast of Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, Kubbra Sait, Deepak Dobriyal, and others. Beneath the Punjab, mirth is real action-comedy, and this sequel wants to strengthen this successful action-comedy formula.
Roots, Return & Raj Mandir Vibes
Satiate your appetite: The original Son of Sardaar (2012) was a sleeper hit with a ₹161 crore worldwide total on a budget of ₹30 crore. With Son of Sardaar 2, Devgn is not only driving nostalgia but also looking to improve the fun, the size and the presence. The story goes from the pind to Scotland and London, carrying that desi pride into the great wide expanse.

Box Office Worldwide Verdict
Expectation Meter: High
The first Son of Sardaar hit everyone with that cult popularity and impressive box office dollars and cents. This sequel rides that wave with a familiar hero, a familiar vibe, and a franchise of momentum. The solo July release is a clever move to avoid competition, and the eye-catching poster has already ramped up anticipation.
Audience nostalgia and the comedy-action combo that made the original popular suggest Son of Sardaar 2 has a chance in the ₹100 crore club — highly possible unless something else surprises the box office party.
