Directed by debutant director Abhishek Dudhaiya, Ajay Devgn’s Bhuj: The Pride Of India is one the most awaited films of the year.
Based on the 1971, Indo-Pak war the film was scheduled to release on August 15 but due to the nationwide lockdown and coronavirus pandemic the makers couldn’t complete the film. According to the information, the makers are planning to skip the initial date to release the film. It is also reported that it might hit the theatres on December 16, which is Vijay Diwas.
“A week-long stint that includes filming some action sequences featuring Ajay Devgn, is left. Initially, the makers were toying with the idea of releasing it on January 26 next year but then realised that Vijay Diwas, which commemorates India’s victory in the 1971 war, is celebrated on December 16. It is only fitting that a retelling of a chapter from the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war arrive at the theatres around the same time,” a daily quoted a source as saying.
Apart from Ajay Devgn, Bhuj: The Pride Of India also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk and Pranitha Subhash in important roles.
