When the COVID-19 cases began to rise, several film release schedules were thrown into disarray. In reality, theatres in Delhi were closed, and a number of other restrictions were enforced in a number of states. However, now that the cases are dwindling, the filmmakers are once again announcing new release dates for their films. Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi recently received a new release date and will now be released on February 25. Valimai, Ajith Kumar’s highly awaited action film, received a new release date this morning, and it is February 24.
Valimai was originally set to be released on Pongal 2022, however due to the revised release schedule, it would collide with Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. Taking to her Twitter handle, Huma Qureshi shared a new poster of Ajith’s Valimai showcasing in an intense avatar and wrote, “Actions speak louder than words. The wait is well & truly over. Feel the power on 24 Feb, in cinemas worldwide.”

Gangubai Kathiawadi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and starring Alia, is set to hit theatres on February 25, 2022, just one day after Valimai. Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari, Seema Pahwa, and Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi make cameo appearances in the film.
When it comes to Valimai, the film was originally just going to be released in Tamil and Telugu. However, due to the popularity of Ajith Kumar, the film is presently being dubbed in Malayalam and Kannada.
