During a thought-provoking session at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2022 in New Delhi, Ram Charan and Akshay Kumar attempted to reflect the cohesive spirit of Indian film as a whole. You won’t want to miss the moment since the two stars, who were instrumental in getting people back to the movies after the Covid-19 outbreak, had even planned lovely presents for one another.
During the session, the RRR star, who frequently cited Akshay and his body of work as an inspiration, danced and sung to the actor’s famous song “Tu cheez badi hai mast mast” and sung ” Ye dosti hum nahi todenge” expertly even managed to mimic the choreography of the original track. Akshay also joined in, and the audience enjoyed the performance.

Ram and Akshay both responded to questions about the North-South divide during the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit session. The RRR actor said that among his peers, there has never been a feeling of vindication over Bollywood as films from various regions outperform the Hindi films at the box office. He modestly remarked that he was glad to live in a time when movies from many cultures could coexist as a single entity.
On the other hand, Akshay claimed that everyone in Bollywood, from actors to exhibitors, needs to “dismantle and reinvent” in order to draw audiences back to theaters, whether it be by reconsidering the cost of tickets or by producing films that are more epic than life.
