Akshay Kumar is one of the busiest actors in Bollywood. He just doesn’t act in multiple films per year but also backs many of them under his production house. He is all set to present Bhumi Pednekar’s upcoming film which is titled as Durgavati.
The movie is a remake of Anushka Shetty’s Bhagamathie. Director of the original film, Ashok, will be helming this one too. The film will be produced by Adundantia Entertainment, Cape Of Good Hope Films and T-Series.
Those who have seen the original one, know that this in a horror-thriller space. Akshay & team are terming this as a ‘scary’ thriller. Bhumi Pednekar will be getting into space she hasn’t been in before. Could she be this decade’s Monjulika? Well, we’ll have to wait for a while to see that.
Akshay beautifully announced the film with everyone from the team holding a placard. We termed this ‘beautiful’ because while everyone had written their role on the card, Bhumi’s reads as ‘hero’. This makes one thing clear that she is the whole and soul of the film.
