The Khiladi of Bollywood Akshay Kumar is known for his trademark action skills and impeccable comedy timing. The actor is revamping the cult Welcome franchise with the third installment titled Welcome to the Jungle. As Welcome turned 16 on Thursday, Kumar penned a heartfelt note and shared a BTS snippet from the sets of Welcome to the Jungle. The video also features Sanjay Dutt.

In the snippet, Kumar is seen riding a horse whereas Dutt is seen chasing him on a motorbike. The rugged surrounding seems quite interesting. Kumar penned, “What a lovely coincidence that we celebrate 16 years of #Welcome today while I am shooting for the franchise’s third part #WelcomeToTheJungle. And it’s wonderful to welcome Sanju Baba in this one.”

One expected producer Firoz Nadiadwala to shoot first for Hera Pheri 3 but he’s begun with the third installment of the Welcome franchise now. Welcome To The Jungle is slated to release in Christmas 2024.
Jio Studios Backs Out Of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ And ‘Hera Pheri 3’ Over Payment Issues
According to sources, the producer of Welcome 2, Firoz Nadiadwala, has not cleared the pending payments of the crew members, who have been demanding their rightful remuneration for a long time. Jio Studios, which had partnered with Nadiadwala for the distribution and presentation of Welcome 2, was also affected by this dispute and decided to cut ties with him.
“Ever since the announcement of Welcome To The Jungle, issues around finances are happening between Jio and Firoz Nadiadwala. There are some pending debts for Firoz, which yet remain unpaid. Due to all the legalities and pending litigation, Jio Studios for now has taken a back seat from Welcome To The Jungle,” a trade source told Bollywood Hungama.
