PVR INOX Pictures is sharpening its Bollywood play with two star-driven releases that instantly stand out on the exhibition giant’s slate. The company’s top brass has now indicated that Akshay Kumar’s Mauja Hi Mauja is targeting the end of November, while Salman Khan’s Monster is being lined up for Eid 2027, giving moviegoers two very different tentpoles to watch out for over the next few months and beyond.
Latest Release Plan Comes Into Focus
Speaking about the company’s upcoming line-up, Kamal Gianchandani, Chief Business Planning and Strategy at PVR INOX Limited and CEO of PVR INOX Pictures Limited, said, “PVR INOX Pictures is having a strong year. We are also releasing Primetime, which will be out in cinemas this Friday. In fact, almost every week, we have a PVR INOX Pictures film releasing.”
He then confirmed the two major Hindi titles on the distributor’s radar, saying, “Besides Hollywood, we also have Mauja Hi Mauja with Akshay Kumar, which is coming out towards the end of November. We are also releasing Mr Salman Khan’s Monster, which will release on Eid 2027. These are two of our anticipated releases from the Bollywood slate.”
That latest update is significant because Mauja Hi Mauja had earlier been associated with a December 4 release window. The fresh indication now points to a November-end arrival instead, potentially reshaping the year-end Hindi release calendar.
Mauja Hi Mauja Cast And Film Details
Mauja Hi Mauja stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Raashii Khanna. The film is directed by Anees Bazmee and backed by Dil Raju under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, along with Cape of Good Films.
The comedy has already generated attention because of the creative team behind it. Bazmee remains one of Hindi cinema’s most bankable directors in the commercial comedy space, and the pairing of Akshay with Vidya adds familiar crowd appeal. As of now, the latest indication is that the film is headed for a theatrical release at the end of November 2026.
Monster Heads For A Festive 2027 Bow
On the other side of the slate is Monster, the Salman Khan starrer that is being positioned for Eid 2027. The film stars Salman alongside Nayanthara and Muzammil Ibrahim, and is directed by Vamshi Paidipally. It is presented by Dil Raju and produced under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner by Shirish and Kuldeep Rathore, with Rafi Kazi serving as co-producer.
An Eid launch gives the project one of the biggest release corridors in the Hindi film business, a slot long associated with Salman Khan’s event films.

Akshay Kumar’s recent releases include Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in 2024 and Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh in 2025. He also has Welcome to the Jungle on his upcoming slate for 2026. Against that backdrop, Mauja Hi Mauja adds another major theatrical title to a phase where the actor is leaning heavily into large-scale commercial entertainers while mixing genres across his line-up.
