Get ready for a hilarious ride! Akshay Kumar is all set to reunite with director Anees Bazmee after 15 long years. The actor director duo will kick off their yet untitled comedy on January 20, 2026. This marks their first collaboration since Thank You which released back in 2011.
The film also stars Vidya Balan as the leading lady. The first day of filming will take place at Royal Gold Studios in Goregaon, where an elaborate indoor set has been erected for the shoot.

Sources describe the movie as a high energy, laugh a minute entertainer. This is typical of Bazmee’s signature style that audiences have loved over the years. The film will feature fast paced scenes, confusion born from multiple characters, and hilarious situations that will leave viewers in splits.
The shoot was originally scheduled for February. However, production has been preponed. While other actors including Vidya Balan will join later, the film rolls on January 20 with Akshay Kumar.
Five Week Schedule At Royal Gold Studios
During the first schedule at Royal Gold Studios, Anees Bazmee will film many indoor scenes. This leg of the shoot will last approximately five weeks. After completing the indoor portions, the team will head to Delhi for the second leg of the shoot.

Akshay Kumar and Anees Bazmee have delivered some of the most iconic comedy films in Bollywood history. Their partnership began with Welcome in 2007, which became a cult classic. They followed it up with Singh Is Kinng in 2008, another blockbuster hit. Their last collaboration was Thank You in 2011.
Fans have been waiting for this reunion for over a decade. The announcement has created massive excitement among comedy lovers.
