Akshay Kumar’s Good Newwz is releasing this Friday and it has just a week’s gap after Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3. Though it was looking like a tough decision for the makers, but the response to Dabangg 3 might have released a bit of the tension. That’s not the only tension the makers are burdened with.
Recently Akshay Kumar has been involved in a controversy in which he’s getting bashing on social media platforms. The issue revolves around the trailer no. 2 of Good Newwz. In it, there’s a dialogue revolving around a kid’s name which demeans Lord Rama.
The dialogue goes as, “Mere Bache ka naam Hola Ram hai kyunki vo Holi pe paida hua tha”, to which Akshay Kumar’s character replies “Acha hua apka bacha Lohri pe paida nahi hua.” To this a user on Twitter wrote: “How dare you to Abuse Indian religion’s and Hindu gods of India? We indians will not tolerate it at all.”
Zee Studios presents Good Newwz in association with Cape Of Good Films. A Dharma Productions film, produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan, it releases on December 27.
