The success of Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi at the box office has given the industry and trade members much-needed hope. Theatres in 14 Maharashtra cities and districts have been authorised to operate at 100% occupancy starting today. As a result, the industry anticipates a significant increase in business in March alone. Bachchhan Paandey is one of the most anticipated films of the month. It was always going to be a hotly anticipated picture with Akshay Kumar in the lead, and the trailer has only added to the excitement.
Bachchhan Paandey has already been passed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The censorship committee requested three cuts in the action-comedy, according to the censorship report. A slashing throat is depicted, with blood gushing out. A character gets stabbed in another scene, resulting in a lot of bloodsheds. The violence in both of these locations, according to CBFC members, was particularly gruesome. As a result, the creators were ordered to reduce or alter the violence in these sequences.
The third cut is with regards to a double meaning dialogue related to a banana. The CBFC asked the makers to reduce or modify the dialogue, a part of which is “Kabhi toh (kela) khaane ke liye bhi le liya kar”.
Bachchhan Paandey received a U/A certificate after these revisions were made. On February 28, 2022, the producers received the certificate. The film’s runtime is 149 minutes, according to the censor certificate. To put it another way, Bachchhan Paandey lasts 2 hours and 29 minutes.
In addition to Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Pankaj Tripathi, and Prateik Babbar feature in Bachchhan Paandey. Farhad Samji directed it, and Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment produced it.
On March 18, which is a holiday, Bachchhan Paandey will be released in theatres.
