Akshay Kumar is one of those actors who is taking on films one by one and completing them in record time. Three of his next films are South remakes: Mission Cinderella, Selfiee, and Soorarai Pottru.

For those who are unaware, Mission Cinderella is a remake of Ratsasan, the enormous Tamil sensation from 2018. The remake is produced by Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani and belongs to the slasher film genre. Akshay and Emraan Hashmi collaborated on Selfiee, which is a remake of the Malayalam hit Driving Licence from 2019. The third film is a remake of Soorarai Pottru, a well-known Tamil film starring Suriya.
Previously, it was reported that Mission Cinderella is being transformed into an episodic format with a direct OTT release. According to the most recent sources, Akshay Kumar’s Selfiee and Soorarai Pottru remakes are in talks to be released directly on OTT. While the cause for the alleged decision is unknown, it is possible that the makers get scared after the disastrous result of Bachchhan Paandey.
