Just a few days ago, Akshay Kumar served a notice to a YouTuber, Rashid Siddiqui who claimed that the superstar helped actress Rhea Chakraborty to escape to Canada. He also claimed that Akshay was involved in the death of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Now, as per a publication, Siddiqui refused to pay Rs. 500 crore damages which was sought by Akshay and claimed that there was nothing defamatory in his video. He even urged the actor to withdraw the notice which which he would initiate appropriate legal proceedings against the actor.
After getting the notice, Siddiqui claimed the allegations made by Akshay Kumar were “false, vexatious and oppressive and is raised with an intent to harass him”.
“The news reported by Siddiquee was already in the public domain and he (Siddiqui) has placed reliance on other news channels as sources,” the reply stated.
