Ali Abbas Zafar says his film has nothing to do with the old film & we wonder why is it called Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

The announcement teaser was released in February. It'll be a big-budget actioner with a budget of more than 300 crores.

Miyan Bade Chote Miyan, which is set to be released during Christmas 2023, is undoubtedly one of the most eagerly anticipated Bollywood films. It’s the first time Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff will be seen together on the big screens. However, speculations of it being shelved have surfaced on social media, casting it in an unfavorable light. However, Ali Abbas Zafar, the filmmaker, is now breaking the silence.

BMCM will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, for those who are unaware. The announcement teaser was released in February and received a lot of positive feedback. It’ll be a big-budget actioner with a budget of more than 300 crores, according to reports. However, according to recent sources, the film is being canceled owing to budget constraints.

Not only because of the budget but also because of Akshay Kumar’s recent box office failures, some reports claim that the makers of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan are hesitant to move forward with this behemoth since it appears risky. In the midst of all of this, Ali Abbas Zafar has spilled the beans, which is a huge relief for both Akshay and Tiger Shroff fans.

Addressing rumours, Ali said, “This is absolutely baseless. We are very much on track and there’s no truth to the shelving rumours,” reports Hindustan Times. He added further, “We are currently working on the pre-production. I don’t know where these rumours are coming from. For a film of this large scale, months of pre-production is needed. We will go on floors by the end of this year or early next year and shoot in the UK.”

Meanwhile, Ali Abbas Zafar clarified in an interview with ETimes that his Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has nothing to do with the 1998 film starring Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda. “Our film Bade Miyan is a completely new film. It has nothing to do with the old one,” the director quoted.
