According to a source close to the project, it has been revealed that Alia Bhatt will portray a gender-neutral spy in Yash Raj Films’ upcoming spy universe. Unlike the traditional perception of female action heroes being glamorous and sexy, Alia’s character will break those stereotypes by being a makeup-free, non-vain superhero on a mission to save the world. As for the other members of Yash Raj’s spy universe, they will eventually make appearances in Alia’s universe, but not in the first film. The source mentioned that Yash Raj wants to ensure that the spotlight remains on Alia and her character for now.
The official confirmation regarding Alia’s inclusion in Yash Raj’s spy universe will be made after the release of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
