Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi gets ‘UA’ certificate, by CBFC with minor cuts

Ever since the first look of Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi was released viewers were going wild over her avatar. Fans can’t stop praising the actress now that the trailer has finally been released. Everyone is praising her bold performance in the film, which is unlike anything Alia has ever done on the big screen. The CBFC certification and cutbacks are the biggest issues that all filmmakers encounter. Well, reportedly, even this Sanjay Leela Bhansali had to undergo some minor cuts but has been awarded UA certificate.

According to reports in India Today, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given Gangubai Kathiawadi, which is due to be released on February 25, a UA certificate with some minor changes. According to reports, the film’s duration has only been reduced by a minute or two after all of the changes. A sequence in which India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, is seen planting a rose on Gangubai has been changed.

The film is a biographical crime drama based on Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai and will also star Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa, Shantanu Maheshwari, Jim Sarbh, Varun Kapoor and Indira Tiwari.
