Allu Arjun is one of the biggest superstars in Telugu film industry. In his long career, he has acted in some of the biggest films in Tollywood that have grossed crores at the box office. Some of them are Arya, Bunny, Julai, and Pushpa: The Rise. Allu was planning to make his Bollywood debut with Aditya Dhar‘s ambitious film The Immortal Ashwatthama.
However, according to recent media reports, the superstar has said no to the project. A source said, “Allu Arjun was in two minds from the start over signing this project. However, he still took his own time to think and make a decision. After the success of Pushpa, AA, being a Pan-India name, has become extremely cautious about his choice of scripts. Also, Allu Arjun is in talks for a very exciting project besides Pushpa 2 shoot.”
Earlier Vicky Kaushal was supposed to star in the film and some posters were also unveiled in 2021. However, the film went over budget and the project was momentarily shelved. Later, Vicky left the film. The makers then approached Ranveer Singh who also declined it.
Allu Arjun Was Cautious After Adipurush’s Failure
After looking at the massive failure of Om Raut’s Adipurush, Allu Arjun felt that Ashwatthama was a risky venture, and he is unsure if he wants to invest significant time and effort into a project whose outcome will only be known after two years. Therefore, he decided to part ways with Ashwatthama. The actor might stay away from highly ambitious films that might turn out to be commercial risks as the failure of The Immortal Ashwatthama will have an impact on Allu’s filmography and star status.
