The Pushpa wave is far from over. Allu Arjun‘s blockbuster franchise took Indian cinema by storm, with Pushpa 2: The Rule reportedly surpassing even Baahubali 2 to become the highest-grossing movie in India. Following this massive success, director Sukumar has officially confirmed what fans have been eagerly waiting for: Pushpa 3 is definitely in the works.
The big announcement came during the SIIMA 2025 awards ceremony in Dubai on September 6, where the Pushpa 2 team celebrated a huge victory by winning awards across major categories.
Director Sukumar Confirms Pushpa 3
During the awards show, the host playfully asked director Sukumar about the possibility of a third installment. After getting a silent nod from Allu Arjun and the producer, Sukumar made the confirmation that ignited the audience. He announced, “Obviously, Pushpa 3 undi!” which translates to “Obviously, we’re making Pushpa 3.”
This confirmation set off cheers and whistles from the crowd. The third film, titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage, was hinted at in the end-credit scene of Pushpa 2. The upcoming installment is expected to feature a new antagonist challenging Allu Arjun’s character, Pushpa Raj.
Pushpa 2 Dominates SIIMA Awards 2025
Before dropping the major update, the team of Pushpa 2: The Rule completely dominated the awards night. The film bagged five prestigious SIIMA awards, solidifying its position as the biggest film of the year.
The list of wins included Best Actor for Allu Arjun, Best Actress for Rashmika Mandanna, Best Direction for Sukumar, Best Music Composer for Devi Sri Prasad, and Best Playback Singer (Male) for Shankar Babu Kandukuri.
Allu Arjun Dedicates Win To Fans And Director
Following his third consecutive Best Actor win at SIIMA, Allu Arjun took to socialD media to express his gratitude. He credited director Sukumar for making the success possible and thanked the entire cast and crew of Pushpa.
In his post, Arjun wrote, “Thank you, SIIMA, for the constant love & recognition. Winning 3 back-to-back SIIMA Awards is truly a humbling moment… This credit goes to my Director @aryasukku garu for making this happen… And I dedicate these awards to my fans…for the unwavering love & support. Humbled.”

The Pushpa franchise is a Telugu-language action-drama series written and directed by Sukumar.
