Alpha Music Rollout Begins: Haniya Ve, Massacre And Champagne Cleared By Cbfc With U/A 16+ Certificate

The countdown to Alpha has moved into a sharper, noisier phase. With Alia Bhatt and Sharvari fronting the YRF Spy Universe’s first female-led action spectacle, the film’s promotional machinery is gathering speed, and the latest movement comes from the music department. Three songs from the film have been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification, signalling that the makers are preparing to expand the film’s campaign beyond the teaser and into its soundtrack.

Alpha Songs Get Cbfc Clearance

As per details available on the CBFC website, the makers of Alpha got two songs certified on June 11. The first is “Haniya Ve”, which has a runtime of 3 minutes and 2 seconds. The second is “Massacre”, running 3 minutes and 6 seconds.

A day later, on June 12, another song titled “Champagne” was cleared with a runtime of 2 minutes and 52 seconds. All three songs have been passed with a U/A 16+ certificate. The film’s teaser has also received the same certification, with a certified runtime of 1 minute and 2 seconds.

The clearances arrive at a crucial promotional juncture for Alpha, which releases theatrically on July 3, 2026. While the makers have not announced the release order of the songs, the certification of three separate tracks confirms that the film’s music campaign is ready for a staged rollout.

What Alpha Brings To The Yrf Spy Universe

Alpha stars Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol, and is directed by Shiv Rawail, who previously helmed The Railway Men. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the action thriller is part of the studio’s YRF Spy Universe, which includes Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3 and War 2.

The film places Alia and Sharvari at the centre of a high-stakes mission shaped by danger, deception and physical combat. Its premise follows two women who are pushed into a brutal assignment and forced to confront a ruthless adversary, bringing a more intense and character-driven edge to the spy universe’s expanding mythology.

A senior trade source familiar with the film’s developments earlier said, “Alpha is definitely a major turn for the YRF Spy Universe.” The source added, “It presents a lead character who is an assassin, not a spy that we have seen all leads play earlier. For the first time, Aditya Chopra is giving us an origin story that introduces a character who is more grey, more of an anti-hero in tonality. It is refreshing because otherwise it would be extremely boring for us to watch,”

That tonal shift makes the music rollout especially interesting. With titles like “Massacre” and “Champagne” sitting alongside “Haniya Ve”, the soundtrack is being positioned to balance intensity, scale and glamour, key ingredients for a big-screen spy entertainer.

Alpha is now in its final promotional stretch, and with the CBFC clearances in place, the next reveal from the film’s campaign has gained fresh momentum.
