Amitabh Bachchan, a legendary icon, has performed in more than 200 movies over the last 50 years. As his birthday arrives on October 11, a special film festival will be organised in different cities across India where his prominent films will be shown.
Speaking of Mumbai, Kaala Patthar, a drama-action film, released in 1979, has completed its full capacity at the 3 pm show at PVR, Dynamix Juhu. The film stars Big B as Vijay Pal Singh. It has received nominations for Filmfare award for best film, best actor and more.
Another Amitabh starrer is Don, an action-crime film, released in 1978, showcases police chasing Don. Things change when Vijay, a lookalike of Don, replaces him and attempts to discover the details of his unlawful activities. Its 7:30 show at PVR: Dynamix, Juhu is full, while PVR ICON: Oberoi mall, Goregaon (E) is also filling its seats soon.
Deewar, which was released in 1975, is an action-drama movie starring Big B as Vijay Verma. The 2 hour 54 min has Vijay into the criminal role, while younger brother Ravi, who is a police officer, is sent to arrest him. The 7:00 pm show at PVR ICON Oberoi, Goregaon has also filled all its seats.
His other films like Kabhi Kabhie, Abhimaan, Chupke Chupke, Mili are also put for on screen shows and those are too rapidly filling seats. Interestingly, prices of these films are set at Rs 150 for all to watch.
Upcoming movie of Vikas Bahl directorial “Goodbye” stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rashmika Mandanna, which is slated to release on October 7. Its makers announced that on the opening day, the price will be Rs 150 for it across the country. This comes just a few days after National Cinema Day celebrations ended, where prices were dropped for films.
The makers posted the video of Big B stating the opening day price as Rs 150, where he is urging the people to watch it too. The 25 second video has some scenes from the movie as well.
