The makers of Ananya Panday and Ishaan Khatter starrer film Khaali Peeli have dropped its first song titled “Beyonce Sharma Jayegi”.
The actors can be seen joyfully dancing in a circus/carnival-like set-up. Sung by Nakash Aziz and Neeti Mohan and composed by Vishal and Shekhar, the song is written by Kumaar and Raj Shekha.
However, it seems the song failed to impress the audience. Netizens have started criticising it on the internet, some even apologized to pop icon Beyonce as they think it’s racist to insult a pop star this way.
The song has already gathered more than 172k disljkes on YouTube.
Khaali Peeli is directed by Maqbool Khan and it’s slated for a direct-to-digital release on the recently launched pay-per-view service, Zee Plex, on October 2.
