Ananya Panday is a rising star in Bollywood. She is now polishing her acting skills with each new film. Ananya is committed to some upcoming projects that will push her as a great performer. In The C Shankaran Nair biopic, Ananya is playing the role of a feisty junior lawyer of Akshay Kumar, whereas her debut web series with Amazon Prime Video casts her as a billionaire fashionista. And now she’s landed a project with an acclaimed director, adding another intriguing project to her solid 2023 slate.
According to Peepingmoon, Ananya Panday is currently collaborating with Vikramaditya Motwane. The filmmaker, who has directed critically acclaimed films such as Udaan, Lootera, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, and AK vs. AK, is currently working on a quirky thriller in which Ananya will play the lead. The film is described as an ensemble drama, with the Khaali Peeli actress taking on a role she has never played before. When Vikramaditya approached her about this yet-untitled film, Ananya locked the lead role at the chance. The director has long been on her wish list, and she is excited to have the opportunity to work with him in such a short period of her career. Motwane has started planning and is scouting movie locations with his team. They have already planned to start filming in February and wrap by the end of the year.

Ananya is currently filming Karan Singh Tyagi’s untitled biographical drama, which tells the tale of Sankaran Nair’s legendary courtroom battle against the British Raj to uncover the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. She is expected to wrap the first schedule of this Akshay Kumar film by the end of January, after which she will begin the final schedule of Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl 2 on January 10 in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Vikramaditya Motwane has a Jubilee Amazon Prime show coming out in 2023. The series is currently in post-production and is set to debut on Amazon Prime Video in the first half of 2023.
