In March, Angad Bedi, known for Soorma, Inside Edge, Pink and others, became a part of the Arati Kadav directorial, which is a Hindi Remake of ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’, a Malayalam film released in 2021. He was planned to star opposite Sanya Malhotra. The male lead would play the character of Suraj Venjaramoodu as a patriarchal husband who wishes his wife to be submissive and confined to the kitchen.

The latest bollywood news is that Angad has made an exit from the film citing date issues. “It is a great script, and Angad wanted to be a part of the film. He had started prepping for the role. But the dates clashed with those of his yet-untitled love story opposite Barkha Singh. Since he had already committed to the Jio Studios’ production, the actor decided to honour it and pulled out of the remake,” Mid-day quoted the source as saying.

Meanwhile, Angad is occupied with the love story in Delhi, whereas Kadav has been finalised as a new face to keep ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’ remake’s shooting dates on track. The Malayalam film was appreciated for the feminist theme.
