The rights were previously held by producer Deepak Mukut, who had acquired them from original producer A S Rathnam about 10 years ago. Anil Kapoor has now secured these rights because the film is very close to his heart.

Actor Aware Of Tremendous Love For Film

Pooja Batra appeared in a special cameo while Sushmita Sen was featured in a song. The strong performances and tight screenplay made the film a favourite among audiences who discovered it after its theatrical run.

Story About One Day As Chief Minister

Nayak told the story of a fearless television reporter who gets a chance to become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for one day. The changes he brings about in the state within 24 hours make him a national hero. The film explored themes of corruption, bureaucracy and the power of honest leadership.
