Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director of Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh, is currently promoting his upcoming Ranbir Kapoor Starrer Animal.
The director in a recent interview said that his last two theatrical experiences were Pathaan and Jawan. Vanga who’s known to portray his lead actors in a negative shade himself, seemed to be an ardent Shah Rukh Khan follower as he remembered all his 90s movies where he played negative roles.
Pathaan and Jawan are both action thrillers that feature Shah Rukh Khan in dual roles. In Pathaan, he plays an exiled RAW agent who teams up with an ISI agent (Deepika Padukone) to stop a former RAW agent (John Abraham) from unleashing a deadly virus on India. In Jawan, he plays a father and son duo who fight against corruption and injustice in society. Both the films have been huge box office successes and have received critical acclaim.
Khan is known for his versatility and his ability to play both positive and negative roles with equal ease. Some of his most memorable negative roles include Baazigar, Darr, Anjaam, Don, and Raees. Vanga, who is also a fan of Khan, has praised him for his comeback after a four-year hiatus and his choice of films that showcase his talent and charisma. Vanga is currently promoting his next film Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna.

When Sandeep Reddy Vanga met Shah Rukh Khan
In the video that had surfaced on the internet during Ganapathi celebrations at T-Series office, Bhushan Kumar can be seen introducing Shah Rukh Khan to Sandeep Reddy Vanga, whose directorial Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, is all set to hit the theatres in December. “This this Sandeep… Animal,” says Bhushan, as Shah Rukh Khan hugs the filmmaker and says, “All the best for your film.” Bhushan then went on to say to Shah Rukh that he’d love to show the film’s teaser. “We want to show you the teaser upstairs,” he says, to which Shah Rukh gives a thumbs up.

Animal, which is produced by T-Series, Bhadrakali Pictures and Cine1 Studios, is one of the longest Indian films made with a runtime of 201 minutes. The film will clash with Vicky Kaushal’s biopic Sam Bahadur at the box office.
