After the massive success of Animal, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is already thinking big for his next projects. It looks like Animal isn’t the only franchise he’s building. His next big film is Spirit, starring Pan-India superstar Prabhas, and the buzz is already strong.
According to new reports, Spirit is not being planned as just one movie. It seems Vanga is developing this cop action film into a full-blown franchise. The film, which also stars Triptii Dimri, might be the start of a whole new cop universe from the director.

According to industry sources, the makers are discussing a very interesting idea for the movie’s ending. They are thinking about ending Spirit with a cliffhanger, also known as an open climax. This would set the stage perfectly for a second film and get the audience excited for what’s next.
A source mentioned that the plan is to build a whole world around Prabhas’s cop character. By leaving the audience guessing at the end, they will be very eager to see what happens next in the story. This is a popular way to launch a franchise, and Vanga seems keen on it.
When Does The Shooting Start?
Fans will have to wait a bit for this massive project. The report states that filming for Spirit is scheduled to begin in February 2026. Prabhas will join the sets after his other big film, The Raja Saab, hits theatres in January. The first schedule for Spirit will be shot in Mumbai.
After the Mumbai leg is complete, the team will fly to international locations. The movie is planned to be shot in places like Mexico, Thailand, and Indonesia, promising a big-scale action film for audiences.
Prabhas In Two Different Avatars
The new report also gives an exciting update about Prabhas’s role. The team has already done a look test and has finalized two very different avatars for Prabhas in the film. This suggests his character might have different shades or timelines.
The source also added that there is an important flashback scene, which will be filmed during the Mumbai schedule. This flashback is likely where we will see one of the two different looks for the actor. With a cliffhanger ending, global locations, and Prabhas in two avatars, Spirit is shaping up to be a huge event film.
