But once again, the silence of Anupam Kher and Vivek Agnihotri has been called into question. Both actors congratulated Deepika Padukone on her accomplishment, but netizens were quick to point out that they had not spoken up for her during the ‘Besharam Rang’ controversy.
Recently actor Anupam Kher took to his Instagram handle and wrote, “Dearest @deepikapadukone! Deepika fans were quick to make him remember about the past. A user commented, “But you never stood by her when she trolled and called for a boycott. When your RW trolls were cursing her never saw a tweet or statement supporting her.”

The double standard exhibited by Anupam Kher and Vivek Agnihotri has disappointed many fans, who feel that the actors should have used their platform to speak out against the hateful rhetoric aimed at Deepika Padukone.
