The Narcotics Control Bureau report states that selective treatment was done in a drug case involving Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. The NCB has said in its report that many lapses have been found in the investigation. This includes those who have completed their deputation and returned to their home cadre.
The report recommends action against the officials, including officials of the bureau. Statements of 65 people were recorded during the investigation. After that further action was started.
On October 18, the SIT, which was tasked with investigating the Cordelia Cruise drug case, turned in its vigilance report to the NCB’s Delhi headquarters. Issues in the inquiry were identified by SIT. An official speaking on behalf of NCB said, “The role of 7 to 8 NCB officers has been found to be suspicious in this case, for which departmental inquiry has been initiated. Permission has been sought from senior officers to take action against those who are outside NCB.”
The NCB report said that Sameer Wankhede was the bureau’s regional director of Mumbai zone when all charges against Aryan Khan were dropped.
