Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is one of the most iconic films in the history of Indian cinema. It’s been 25 years since the film was released in 1995, and it is the longest-running Indian film in theatres.

Now that the Aditya Chopra’s directorial debut Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge turned 25 a bronze statue of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol is set to be unveiled in London.

The statue will be put to display at Leicester Square as a part of ‘Scenes in the Square’ movie trail. DDLJ statue will be one of the many cinematic moments which has been immortalised as a bronze statue in that area.

Talking about the same, Mark Williams, the destination marketing director of Heart of London Business Alliance was quoted as saying, “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is one of the most successful Hindi films of all time, and this statue is a fitting tribute to the global popularity of Bollywood.”

DDLJ also stars late Amrish Puri, Anupam Kher, Farida Jalal, Himani Shivpuri, Satish Shah, Mandira Bedi, Parmeet Sethi, late Achala Sachdev, Karan Johar, Anaita Shroff Adajania and Arjun Sablok in pivotal roles.
