In a shocking incident, a major fire broke out on Friday in ND studios near Khalapur in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. Owned by famous art director Nitin Desai this is the same set where Ashutosh Gowariker’s blockbuster film Jodhaa Akbar starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was shot.

The fire reportedly erupted at around noon and thankfully no casualty has been reported so far.

Even though Jodhaa Akbar was released in 2008, the set was kept sound. According to the reports, plywood, PoP and other things were destroyed in the fire.

The officials are now trying to figure out what caused the fire. The set of the film was kept intact even after years of the film for the visitors. Several films have been shot in the ND Studios.

Bollywood films including Bajirao Mastani, Kick, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, and others have been shot on the set. The reality shows Bigg Boss has also been shot at ND Studios.
