According to recent rumours, Varun Dhawan would work on a Hindi version of a South film with South filmmaker Atlee. According to sources, it’ll most likely be Atlee’s film Theri.
Vijay and Samantha featured in a drama thriller in 2016. Varun Dhawan is a prominent contender for the Hindi remake of the same, according to rumours. As quoted in a leading daily, ‘Varun has met Atlee and they will soon be working together on the Hindi remake of a South film. There’s a good chance that the film may be Vijay and Samantha starrer “Theri”.’
These rumours have been circulating for quite some time, and it appears that they are now coming to fruition.
Atlee is now working on his next film alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Varun Dhawan, on the other hand, has a bevvy of films lined up for him, including Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Bhediya. He is also in talks with Rajkumar Hirani for his next, as quoted in an entertainment portal, ‘Varun has done multiple meetings with Rajkumar Hirani over the last few months and both have shown keen interest in the collaboration. It’s a typical slice of life film based on a true story written by Rajkumar Hirani himself and will go on floors in 2022.’
